LOOKING FOR A JOB TODAY FOR A WOMAN OVER 50

I have come a long way from when I left my studies, and a women's road for a period in which the words: reconciliation of time and femminicidio nobody didn’t speak yet; it was the period of the taking of an awareness of a body and a soul, an historic moment very particular. We thought we had already understood everything about our independence, and about the mechanisms to use it, to finish a run that we believed already to have fact in a good part.

We realized very quickly that, on the other hand, it was all still everything to do, that work often meant not have children, that the men were not yet ready for the change and that the society guaranteed us laws on equality, much more progressive than the cultural path we have just begun.

We have lagged behind in life, carry our children with a draft education trying to put together blocks, diversified and important of our lives; we have mediated, organized, sacrificed, loved, supported, innovated and welcomed, projected, worked, grow with an eye to the past and a look to the future, we have been the innovative bridge between the old concept of family and woman and the new structure; it has not been easy, for none of us, but despite everything we have perhaps succeeded in transforming a static conceiving of woman in a project of life to everything round, for the new generations.

Not us, but our daughters, our daughters-in-law certainly.

We are women rich in competence and I am not saying this for pride but for humble awareness, we are those that still today, in this crisis we don’t lose the hearth, we keep on planning and to walk. We will have to work up to 70 years to reach a pensionable minimum , many of us have sacrificed 10 and more years to grow the generations that have today from 20 to 35 years, many of us have jobs to black to reconcile the time and we do not always succeed, many of them have fought to determine their own choices, many of them have mediated to maintain an alliance that has not show such , many have suffered mobbing, redundancies and abuses by the employer, many have chosen a part-time job only and only to grow their children. All of this can not be written on our Cv.

Someone has had more fortune, or because had a statal work ,or because have had a family that supported them, some made career like businesswoman, some had privileges and rights recognized, but were not the majority.

Today only 46% of women working, compared with 70% in Sweden and 64% of the United Kingdom; earn 10% less than the men, only 12% are managers, still today 800thousand women loses a job after a pregnancy, women's unemployment increased by 40 %, as compared with male unemployment has remained unchanged in recent years, female has increased.

The role of women in procreation is unique and inimitable, and that means, that we are only us to generate children and that our maternal role has its own importance, we cannot abdicate this and this is a fact, but we cannot always do so. Not he pondered about the reasons that do not depend on the lack of desire, but often these are situations that require us to not delegate or delegate only some things; what I think is important and that is given to us the choice to do so, that is the woman to decide. Not a male system that requires us first to make a career and then generate children.

The nature has prepared to generate between 20 and 40 years, this is to give us a way to replicate the humanity with all of the physical forces and with all the mental flexibility possible, why give birth and follow, a number of children variable, and a laborious work. What a woman has done, often is the result of a quadrature of a complex and very delicate system ,but at the moment in which the role of balance can, in part, be discarded, is ready to follow their owns dreams and to give aspirations body important but it is also the moment in which you feel most marginalized and refused.

The importance of social inclusion and the role employment in a over 50, a man or woman, are of maximum importance for his/her psychological well-being and for the responsibilities that assumes within a microcosm, for a woman also means being able to fully realize and if our perspective of life and of 95, an increase in the next decade, I believe that we could hold indeed us busy up to 75.

Once that the children have reached an autonomy responsible, when finally , all mediation among what i would want to do and what I can really do is finished, at that moment is finally free to really become what he wants, and it is at this point that we become formidable.

Let us choose our walk, don’t force us to adjust to a masculine model. Let us face the life with the most absolute freedom, walk beside us, not too far forward, nor too far back, we don't like it. Let us free to decide the priorities in our lives, if before the children or the career. Esteem us.
